PSYCHODALEK: THE WILD, THE BEAUTIFUL

AND THE DAMNED

(Apex-Verlag - 2017)

A Novel & A Screenplay

ISBN: 978-3-73969904-2

Illustrated E-Book - 148 p.

Psychodalek is the companion novella to the James Rays Gangwar album of the same name. Each chapter of the book parallels a single track on the album.

The book itself travels alongside a schizophrenic murderer with dwells in near future London. Much of the visual imagery is derived from the complex emotional circumstances behind each violent twist of the protagonists psyche. The plot, while extremely violent and disturbing, poses an monumental question. Are we truly products of our environment, and if so, then are we ultimately to blame for our actions which society implicitly has given to us? The book humbly suggest that this is the case and that even the most perverse criminal offenders only commit those crimes that society has breed them to perform. In essence that the downfall of civilization can be directly linked to our own self-imposed destructive tendencies. What we choose to take away from this message is perhaps the reason why the author has chosen to write this crude parable. If only a single person, such as the book's lead, can annihilate a menagerie of victims, that maybe a single person can work to rebuild our perverse society from it's suicidal cinders.

This new e-book edition includes the original Psychodalek novella plus the Screenplay The Wild, The Beautiful And The Damned, illustrated by Christian Dörge.

DELUSION'S MASTER (Special Edition)

(Apex-Verlag - 2016)

A Novel

ISBN: 978-3-73966569-6

Illustrated E-Book - 202 p.

When the world was flat and the gods had not yet restructured the universe, the cities and hopes of mankind hung upon the whims of the immortal lords of all diabolical powers.

For these, such as Azhrarn, Night's Master, and Uhlumc, Death's Master, the world was a flesh-and-blood playground for all their strangest desires. Hut among those demonic lords, the strangest was the master of madness, Chuz.

The game that Chuz played with a beautiful woman, with an ambitious king, with an ancient imperial city, was a web work of good and evil, of hope and horror. But there was always Azhrarn to interfere—to bend delusion to a different outcome—and it was a century-long conflict between two vain immortals with women and men as their terrified pawns.

TANITH LEE, acclaimed as the "princess-royal of high fantasy," winner of the prestigious August Derleth Award, now presents a new novel of brilliant coloration and sparkling imagination.

THE ADVENTURES OF SOLOMON KANE

(OT: RED SHADOWS/SKULLS IN THE STARS/RATTLE OF BONES/THE MOON OF SKULLS/THE HILLS OF THE DEAD/THE FOOTFALLS WITHIN/WINGS IN THE NIGHT/SOLOMON KANE'S HOMECOMING - A POEM)

(Apex-Verlag - 2016)

7 Novels, 1 Poem

E-Book - 175 p.

ISBN: 978-3-73967826-9

“He was . . . a strange blending of Puritan and Cavalier, with a touch of the ancient philosopher, and more than a touch of the pagan. . . . A hunger in his soul drove him on and on, an urge to right all wrongs, protect all weaker things. . . . Wayward and restless as the wind, he was consistent in only one respect—he was true to his ideals of justice and right. Such was Solomon Kane.”

Collected in this volume are the seven stories (plus one poem) that make up the thrilling saga of the dour and deadly Puritan, Solomon Kane: Red Shadows (1928), Skulls In The Stars (1929), Rattle Of Bones (1929), The Moon Of Skulls (1930), The Hills Of The Dead (1930), The Footfalls Within (1931), Wings In The Night (1932) and Solomon Kane's Homecoming – A Poem (1936).

Together they constitute a sprawling epic of weird fantasy adventure that stretches from sixteenth-century England to remote African jungles where no white man has set foot. Here are shudder-inducing tales of vengeful ghosts and bloodthirsty demons, of dark sorceries wielded by evil men and women, all opposed by a grim avenger armed with a fanatic’s faith and a warrior’s savage heart.

THE SAGA OF KING KULL

(OT: THE KING AND THE OAK - A POEM/THE SHADOW KINGDOM/THE MIRRORS OF TUZUN THUNE/KINGS OF THE NIGHT)

(Apex-Verlag - 2016)

3 Novels, 1 Poem

E-Book - 80 p.

ISBN: 978-3-73967828-3

In a meteoric career that spanned a mere twelve years, Robert E. Howard single-handedly invented the genre that came to be called sword and sorcery. From his fertile imagination sprang some of fiction’s most enduring heroes. Yet while Conan is indisputably Howard’s greatest creation, it was in his earlier sequence of tales featuring Kull, a fearless warrior with the brooding intellect of a philosopher, that Howard began to develop the distinctive themes, and the richly evocative blend of history and mythology, that would distinguish his later tales of the Hyborian Age.

Much more than simply the prototype for Conan, Kull is a fascinating character in his own right: an exile from fabled Atlantis who wins the crown of Valusia, only to find it as much a burden as a prize.

This collection gathers together three stories plus one poem featuring Kull - The Shadow Kingdom (1929), The Mirrors Of Tuzun Thune (1929), Kings of the Night (1939) and The King And The Oak (1939). The stories are presented just as Howard wrote them, with all subsequent editorial emendations removed.

Howard’s writing seems so highly charged with energy that it nearly gives off sparks.”

–Stephen King

Robert E. Howard had a gritty, vibrant style–broadsword writing that cut its way to the heart, with heroes who are truly larger than life.”

–David Gemmell

Howard was a true storyteller–one of the first, and certainly among the best, you’ll find in heroic fantasy. If you’ve never read him before, you’re in for a real treat.”

–Charles de Lint

For stark, living fear . . . what other writer is even in the running with Robert E. Howard?”

–H. P. Lovecraft
